Refunds & escrow release
Orders on DiGiFaMaR are paid into DiGiFaMaR escrow. This page explains when funds move, and what happens when something goes wrong.
1. Funds are held, not forwarded
When a buyer pays for an order, the money goes into DiGiFaMaR escrow. It is not sent to the farm at that moment. The order records the amount, the platform fee and any separate escrow or payment-processing charges.
2. Release happens on confirmed delivery
The buyer receives a 6-digit release code. On hand-over, the buyer gives that code to the farm and the farm enters it. Only a correct code confirms delivery and starts the release of the farm's proceeds. The code is never visible to the farm before the buyer shares it.
3. If delivery does not happen
If the order is not delivered as agreed, no release code is confirmed and the funds stay in escrow. The buyer can open a dispute from the order page; opening a dispute freezes any release until the case is resolved.
4. Disputes and evidence
Either party can add written detail and supporting files to a dispute. A DiGiFaMaR reviewer examines the order record, the chat history and the evidence, then records one of three outcomes: release to the farm, full refund to the buyer, or a partial split. Every decision is written to the order's audit trail.
5. Refund amounts
A full refund returns the escrowed order amount to the buyer's original payment method. Where a case is split, the recorded split amounts are applied. Payment-processing charges levied by the payment provider are outside DiGiFaMaR's control and are handled according to that provider's terms.
6. Fees on completed orders
On a completed order, DiGiFaMaR's platform fee is 10% of the product sale price, and the farm's base proceeds are 90% of the sale price, before separate escrow, payment-processing or withdrawal charges. On a fully refunded order, no platform fee is retained.
